Every princess needs a crown . shoogy had it on just for the photo part because I broke it trying to widen it.

To make one your self you will need a head band
fabric
felt
fusible web
fake stones
glue
tulip paint


I freehand drew a crown shape and cut the shape out
Iron the fabric to the fusible web then iron the fabric on to the felt and cut the shape of the crown you can now decorate the crown adding sparkle with the fake stones and a gold tulip paint
glue the crown to the head band. and you have a home made crown.

I'm so sad didn't get to sewing my other new ideas for the contest so I'll only post this 3. But my sketch book is full of new ways to play with Ashley from LIL BLUE BOO patterns. I also have Shoog's Purim costume to make only 2 weeks to go but I know it will be done the very night before the party at her preschool. And my sister is still waiting for her apron. It's sad but right now I'm hording T-shirts and fun knit fabrics it's an adiction...

Sewing 4 new recycled t- shirt dresses for Shoogy. She wants a dress not a shirt dhaa! From lil blue boo Siena dress pattern. Now I'm thinking out of the box to be a bit more creative. Of curse there's a reason there will be a contest for the best design

You should really try Ashley's pattern it is easy and fun. My t-shirt hording is amsing and every time I go grocery shopping I look for cheep and cute t- shirts to rip a part for dresses for Shoogy.

back after a long time. I've been in a complete bed rest for two and a half weeks in the hospital but I have managed to get to week 37 of my pregnancy and gave birth to my beautiful son shoogy's little brother. With out my sewing machine this is what I've done i mean the knitted blanket and the boy

Tutorial heart and initial fabric mobile

you will need

Scraps of fabric about 7" by 8"

Stuffing material (polyfill)

Satin Ribbon

Draw a heart and your initial, you can print it and transfer to the back of the fabric

Cut the fabric; leave a 1/4" allowance.

Set the hearts right facing each other.

Insert the ribbon between the fabric- one long ribbon at the top of the heart and a shorter one for the bottom. Fold the ribbon inside the heart.

Sew all the way around with 1/4" seam and leave an opening to insert the stuffing.

Trim the fabric around and turn right side out.

With the letter I inserted the ribbon with the heart folded tightly. Sew around leaving an opening a bit wider so you can take the heart through it when turning right side out.

Trim the fabric and pull the fabric with heart right side out.

Fill the heart and the initial with stuffing. for the letter use small amounts of stuffing each time to shape it inside the fabric.

Slipstitch the gap closed.
Enjoy.

Reversible purse

New bags

It's seems like the bags have taken over. But this 2 birthday gifts for my sister in law and her 13 yr old daughter were a great idea. Since school is about to start, the tote bag I've made for Yaeli will be good for her to take on those short days when she doesn't need to carry many books.

tote bags

I've enjoyed this sewing project. I've learned alot and it took some try and error but I love the end result. I really used my sewing machine in ways I haven’t got around to before. Using fashion discs for the seam around the appliqué and the tote bag itself was a big thing for a novel sewer like me. So good for me J.

I have to say those were two and a half hectic days. I needed to do this kind of big project for a new be like me in just a few days because my mother in law was about to fly over to NY to visit her daughter and lovely 3 granddaughters. And I really wanted to make them something. The start was this great idea I saw on TV on how to bling your flip flops so I made one for mom Limor and her tow older girls and of course I thought it would be great to put each per of shoes in a tote bag made by me. And for the youngest who's only a day apart from my baby Abi. I wanted to make a birthday outfit with overall and a tutu and I added a tank top with her initials. So I'm sorry my sweet child that I was a bit jumpy and kept on sewing all day. Now that it's done I promise you its all fun with a trip on a train and a day with me and grandma and your aunt Maya. So here are pics I took.

to do list

Sew a birthday outfit for my soon to be 2 year old niece, including a tutu skirt and at shirt. And for her lovely mom and two older sisters I want to make custom flip flops.

Collecting pebbles at the beach for my new old project for the living room. Hope I will finish it some day soon now.

And my Abi is helping me and modeling the dress I made her. The dress is inspired by the pillow case dress pattern but it's actually made from an old maternity shirt I didn’t like so much.

my mom's back for good

Hi I'm so happy my mom is back from China and soon my dad wiil come too. Hard to believe they went a year ago trying their luck leaving us kids and grandkids and their established jobs. I missed them! In the mean while I've been nesting and refreshed the dining area. Still needs the chandelier I haven't completed fixing yet.
